I offer friendly and informed piano and vocal tuition and lessons in the Blackheath and Greenwich area. My background is both of academic music (BMus, Royal Holloway) and performance (Masters, Trinity Laban Conservatoire). I have private 1-to-1 teaching experience since 2007.
I am available to teach Singing, Piano and Music Theory to all abilities and ages. My wide range of performance experience enhances my teaching and enables me to give sound advice on scholarship and exam preparation, performance techniques, and auditions.
The primary aim is to use the voice without any sense of strain or discomfort
I would love to teach you, whatever style you sing and whatever your current goal. I have experience with musical theatre and church music as well as opera and classical. I can help you if you’re looking to work toward an exam (ABRSM or Trinity), want to learn a few songs for a special event, or simply want to learn how to use your voice for fun. I teach from my home on a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano, or I can come to you if you have a piano at home.
Singing should be a fun, stress and pain-free activity that brings you much joy! I teach in a relaxed and friendly environment to help you maximise both you enjoyment and your capacity to learn.
I am a member of The Association of singing teachers.
